Tom., what's your experience with the clamp-on brake? I tried one on my Makino (the Shimano one, not the Diacomte) and it wasn't working very well. The front wheel was vibrating quite a bit and it was really hard to get the clamps on the fork. Does yours work better and what you use to protect the fork paint? I took mine off now, don't really use it but would feel safer for rare emergency moments. Thinking of getting the Diacompte one...
