It's proper Tron I tell ya' !! basically the whole surface of the seatpost radiates light - I am working on getting the power supply (I have to invert the power from 4 AA batteries) down a bit in size - but it is basically working - looks like you are sitting on a fluorescent tube - slightly surreal !!

You can get inverters that use 9v batteries. What length of wire are you using?
