  • I haven't put too much thought into payment and distribution. I'll do that between placing the order (probably in the next few days) and receiving it (probably in the next few weeks).

The easiest thing I can think of is to store it all in one location, have an open day or two when people ride by, and then distribute more via the drinks during the week, and finally send the rest by royal mail.

For the money, cash is cool for those collecting in person, and I'll try and get a Google Checkout account running for the ones to be posted... either that or PayPal + a small surcharge.

  • Tom/Henry (and friend), no prob, i can pick up a small bundle and send on to whoever in cambridge (I may even be able to deliver in person Tom!), just give me orders and i'll comply :)

  • i love how i never check the forum at the right times...any chance to still stick an order in...never mind if not.

  • Cool. Thanks, VB.

All the effort this must be taking is appreciated. We're lucky we've got the site, never mind all the other stuff too.

    Thanks Toby,
(Henry and me are in Oxford)

It will probably reduce the postage costs too. Where/when can we paypal payment?

  • Yeah, thanks for organising this VB. I can't wait to get mine.

Yay. I'm in Cambridge. Any chance of jumping on the Cambridge delivery bandwagon?

  • sorry for lateness. no computer. lighting strike blew out old one.
And the dog ate your homework? ;)

  • If it's not too late to change my order, please replace my old order of 1x Airfix small and 1 x Airfix medium with:

    2 x Airfix Medium
    1 x Rabbit Medium

    Thanks!

  • 1 x airfix
    1 x w.a.c

    [edit] both medium.

is it too late to order?

  • Not too late, the order hasn't been placed yet.

I've got samples today and will give them to people to look at on Saturday.

I need to get the artwork for these from Wayne and discuss things with him.

But yeah... carry on ordering, I'll probably place the order next Wednesday for a 1 or 2 week turnaround.

  • 1 x rabbit medium
    1 x rabbit x-small
    1 x Airfix Medium
    Thank you.

  • The samples are wonderful in that it's soft, warm, wicks well, has decent shape and the medium seems the right size. The bamboo feels thinner and silkier than cotton would, and the seams are all pretty nice.

I'm going to have people look over the large and extra large tomorrow... but I can tell you all now that the small looks to be just shy of a medium and not small. So the small may just go onto black cotton rather than the bamboo shirts.

The sizing chart attached is what was sent through, but I'm more interested in real opinions than numbers that can be misleading.

  • the dimension of the XL looks to be perfect, nice one.

  • Those do look quite tightly graded to me. I would say M & L are fine, but S looks quite big & XL a bit small - though being bamboo there may well be more give than cotton.

    WTF :)

  • rabbit small if not medium x1
    fanx

  • So the small may just go onto black cotton rather than the bamboo shirts.

Wha? No bamboo love for us skinny people?

  • what's bamboo (in this context)?

  • what's bamboo (in this context)?

Bamboo fibre instead of cotton fibre. Bamboo wicks much better than bamboo and is regarded as being a bit more eco-friendly than cotton.

  • Get yourself down to Muji and buy a Bamboo towel to feel the effects first hand. Don't use any fabric conditioner on it though. That's like putting a kettle in the fridge.
