Sano: Thanks for explaining but I wasn't getting defensive, I just genuinely wanted to know what the theory about seat angles was. I can take a ribbing so no harm done. At the end of the day I F*&%king love my bike and that's all that matters.

Just had a look at my bike and actually the seat is much more level than it was in the picture. I guess at some point I took it off and put it back on straighter.

it's a good starting point to build the bike up with the saddle level, then adjust from there.

sometimes people have them tilted slightly back, others find the nose too high and tilt slightly forwards, it's rarely optimum if you go too far either way.

bike fit is so important, especially if you want to do long distances, bad riding posture can have lasting effects.

just look at hippy, he used to be 6ft 3 with a 34inch waist...

emoxfag, do you have any pics of the bike finished? I'm guessing the rear wheel ended up yellow, & that you fitted a chain/tyres.. :)

unfortunately i don't have any pictures of that guy finished anymore. My computer was burgled in october, along with that bike and my road bike. It was a rather unfortunate incident. It wasn't that solid of a build anyway... it was just my first.

and emoxfag is a bit of a joke by my friends and it's kind of long explanation. i was really into american midwest and florida indie rock/emo in the late 90's and the punk/hardcore kids i hung around kinda thought it was fun to tease me.
