Beginners

Sano, were they bigger than you? ;-)

My ten penneth: lots of people on here fail to search, take in facts on repeated telling, or read posts further up a thread (e.g. 'can I have number 34, in XL, on a yellow T? I'm not sure having a newbie section would stop this.

Some geek somewhere is bound to have worked out a formula for search usage based on IQ, number of previous posts, and what was had for breakfast.

Either:
1) Meanly ignore the lot of 'em.
2) Help out a few who look like they've at least tried themselves first, and hope enough stick around after serving their apprenticeships to answer questions for others in future.
3) Put some effort in now setting up a FAQ and save at least some of the naive questions later. It will involve some effort and discussion, as one persons answer is not always the right one or the only way.
4) We do nothing different and all STFU and help people out who genuinely come here for help (at least they've googled enough to find this site).

FWIW I reckon it's harder to search on here since the move away from vanilla.
