It’s a Dave Yates with Joe Waugh decals on it. Proper Geordie like, if a bit of a puppy killing conversion, still not convinced by the bull horns, but I am liking the way they have a bit of flex to ‘em - but I can see the plug comparisons. S’going to go back to geared if I ever sort out the Mercian cycle to work scheme thing.

Looks like you did the whole thing - eyelets and all? Was that a problem when building it up? Did you mask anything?
Masked nowt. But I do photograph everything.
Strung the bastard up and sprayed it - I got Condor's monkies to lace it up to the hub - there was a little bit of microscopic chipping around a few of the eyelets.
I did consider masking the eyelets, but couldn't come up with any clever way of doing them - so I didn't bother.

Voila....plenty brown...:)
I know you think brklyns are ugly....but i love this bike...:)
Thats much much better ! No, what I said was that KW bike was boring (which it is - I just had the pictures tested) - that Brown BMW is infinitely better, gold + brown + black works.
KW's green+black looks boring.
You lose points though for having the rims the same colour. :)

could you have blu tacked the eyelet and then run a scalpel round the bottom? my brainless effort.

Scapel through blu-tack = messy !

I'd consider getting some of those little coloured dot stickers, theres probably a size that would sit on top of the eyelet and stop paint getting inside to the contact surface. It wouldnt be perfect though.

J4mmd, I love your Mercian dude... The paintwork is beautiful...
BTW Is that a tube protector on your downtube? Do you need it there? If not, I'll have it off ya! :)
