sounds like a spot, lets hope we hit the 3 day window of good weather.

what about queen sqaure, bloomsbury? not really a through-road, lots of space with benches to hang, pubs near, not particularly residential...
It is oblong, not curved, though.
Not as good as Emirates by the sounds, but might be worth considering (central = inclusive?!)

Are we going to set a date for this.
I'm not fussed if it's in North or Central London.I can meet outside Emirates most nights if anyone wants to give it a trail run as I only live a few miles up the road.
I vote we don't attempt this when Arsenal host Liverpool in the European cup as I will be watching the game in a pub.
I'm sure any other match night will be fine though ;) -

I would be up for giving this a go.

OK, so I've ridden a couple of laps round the stadium on my way home (Mmmmmmm half day) and it all looks fine. They have even been so good as to scatter salt about in he even of it being a little icy underfoot. There are plenty of cameras but that is to be expected given the location. The Drayton Park pub would be a fine meeting point with big windows to keep an eye on bikes but not many places to lock up to. it seems the real variable is how tight the evening security is. It remains to be seen that if people start whizzing around will they be quick to issue requests to move on / "clear off berfore I call the police"

+1 for Queens Square
(OK OK, I live one street away so I am biased).
Whenever I tinker my bike I generally go and do fast laps of Queen's Sqaure to make sure everything is tightened up nicely. So basically - I know the racing line better than any of you :-)
Emirates sounds brilliant.

le car we did a race last year around some square in Bloomsbury. Jos was drunk but won. James Brown crashed I think, into someone who stopped as soon as he crossed the finish line...
It was fun but the "velodrome" was a bit tricky (park benches + nasty road surface)what?
no way, it was a total draw.
:(
Cool. Can't see the kids causing us any bother either. Probably give them a bit of a laugh while we are at it.
As long as they don't start trying to kick footballs at us as we go past
