That's horrible. You have a decent lock and want to nip into the shop for 2 minutes...and gone.
If we really wanted to catch them....
One person with bike (looking like they're on their own) locks up nice bike and goes into supermarket...
Whilst...on foot (pretending to be on own) we all walk up and down the road like 'regulars' with eyes on bike...waiting to pounce?
I've seen gangs down there though and wouldn't like to tackle them. Only the police could do it and they're not interested.
What I will say...
The police rescue tons of bike from theives around there and they end up at the police auction around the corner.
The stolen bikes thread should be 'private' so only members can see. Then at least we'd be able to monitor who's checking the thread right?
Or is that as bad as giving out ID cards?
Thieves might be watching...
