Stolen Wheels

sunnyone Chris and OCD, don't get me wrong, i'm well aware that you leave a bike locked up outside any pub at your own risk. And i wasn't about to shout or be hostile towards anyone. For whatever reason, I had a feeling that what happened to me on Friday night was not in isolation and decided to google 'The George Pub, Dalston & bike theft' on Saturday to see if anything came up. That led me to this forum and the various stories attached to the pub. The idea that a Landlord will not erect signs or make regular announcements when the curtains are drawn etc when he is aware that bikes and bike parts are being stolen on a regular basis from outside his pub is just plain wrong. I'm still a customer of his pub and he needs me to feel good about the place. He definitely needs to do more to prevent this from happening to anyone else. I lost about £500 worth of components on Friday. One of the boys at Condor told me a mate of his had ALL of his Campag Record stripped from his bike outside The George a few weeks ago. Seems to be quite a trend. i'll get a taxi next time i go.
