Yeah i've seen some of that stuff in a shop near goodge street station, the prob is unless you are very very skilled with a knife, or very patient (me=no) then it would look pants i reckon... maybe not, but... my brain hurts...

hey. Bike looks good, I think I saw it in the flesh around store st with a londonfgss spoke card, or am I imagining it? Did you used to have a red bianchi? (I am at uni round the corner so pass by there lots)

make a cardboard stencil from the tracing paper, then cut around the stencil,
plenty of stuff to waste, just take your time -
• #80
Yeah thats me, i still have the bianchi but its at home feeling poorly, the iro doesnt have a spoke card, just a whatacnut sticker on the down tube, but the bianchi has one so well spotted, 5 points added to scoober's account! :)
I work opposite the bike so wave at me next time, i won't know who you are and will think you are a crazy street waving nut, but hey, makes my day go quicker!!1 ;)

yeah, I'm not a stalker honest, but that bianchi was pretty distinctive.

one off job then it's better to get a local bod to do it but as a guide for price. yellow pages it for vinyl cutting or signwriting.
that IRO logo would be dead easy to recreate as an eps and miles more accurate than a hand job from 31trum

-
• #84

-
• #85
i've just looked for handjobs in yellow pages, nothing?
bike looks ace, what seatpost is that? I feel a misguided purchase coming on.
-
• #86

Toby,
Looks shit hot mate... Cant believe we wasted a year at SL and never talked bikes...

Any color brooks would look out of place on that seatpost! Which btw, looks great on that bike.
Plus IMO saddle should usually match bars/bartape.I gotta say that I am loving the subtlety of the rims and headset against the blackness of everything else.
My constructive critisism would be to get the Deda pista stem, with the bars at a correct angle - either parallel to the floor or pointing towards the seatstay bridge, and a black saddle.

Ordered a green 75 in from cavendish but it was a bit of an odd green, anyway, too much green and it would have been overload i reckon.

Mike Burrows, they used to be like £100+ or something but now you can get them for under £30, in fact, i have one (brand new) that i may release from my clutches for £25 if you want it, it's identical to my one.
dogsballs where have i seen those san marco saddles ;)
...ay? what? don't know what you are talking about ;) (a tenner!!! a freaking tenner!!!!!!)
tommid Toby,

TAhaaaa.... well thats because you were on the evil side of the office!! :P That, and the fact that surfboards, skateboards, wetsuits etc were funneling constantly through the entrance ;)

I ran out of dosh for a fancy stem sadly. I was trying to stitch my own dark green leather handlebar tape to match a green leather saddle but again, ran out of dosh and patience ;)

Cooooool maaaahn :)

Seconded. The cranks should really be black.
I'll let you off on ther chain as it'll match the saddle rails. -

I'd set up the bars so that the drops are comfortable to use - if that happens to be parallel with the top tube or pointing at some other designated aesthetically approved point, it's a bonus.
(I like sloping top tubes for this reason)

black or green chain - never stop halfway just wait till you get some more money and then upgrade a few bits -

Sorry, I know it's already been done, but I also amended the logo (badly).
-
• #96
That logo looks wank green, ace in white
-
• #97
I agree. It ties in with the white lettering on the black chainring/tyres.
Fuck the green decals.

OK, don't larf but after chatting to a mate of mine he reckons i should give it a go, especially in light of that ridiculously priced IRO last week for 1200gns and the built up ones in Cavendish for 850+
Its's worth a go... innit! :P
I've got my eye on another bike i really really want and somethings gotta give :(
-
• #99
Makes sense Tobe, good luck with it
-
• #100
leave a white pin line round the IRO if you do it, or an inverse of that i reckon.
nice bike.
@ BMMF Heh heh... very good idea, will put it to the bottom of the pile for now ;)
