Oddsock I don't really know much about track racing but I'd definitely like to do something like that with it yes. This is my 'serious' bike. I guess I need to investigate the track more. It's a 46cm frame, with a standover of 73cm - the bb being so high off the ground. I'm 5'2", and my other bike is a 46cm with a much lower bb - depends how long your friend's legs are really but both my bikes are way too small for people taller than me. I imagine somewhere around 49-52cm would be suitable for someone of 5'4". I don't think there's a real reason for the seat stays crossing over - does anyone know? Looking at it, I think if they met at the back they would have to taper in too much to be able to fit the wheel in (since the wheel is close to the height of the top tube), if that makes sense.
