i have to say as a long time mac user it does piss me off when people link macs to fashion... it's sort of like riding fixed and being called trendy when you're not in it for that reason.
i am actually a bit shocked to see apple going this direction. this reminds me of numerous pre-2000 PC notebooks, those damn external optical drives... well, see you in starbucks (condor pista classico?)
