Police fining cyclists

fakenger35 You can't back up an "All coppers are cunts..." type statement by citing an example of some copper you know. That's crap.
You might not like it, and you might not agree with the law, but if everybody on a bike jumped red lights all the time it would be chaos. And if nobody on a bike jumped a red light ever, the police would have to go out and look for other ways to improve the crime figures and raise some revenue; like fining motorists on the phone etc.

lights werent made for bikes, they were made for cars, but implemented on bikes. its like everything in life, its all contextual, if its a god idea to run a red then do it if it isnt then dont, having lights is a god thing but always abiding by them isnt, i dont think that the po po would look for other things to raise money seeing as their budget goes up every year, and also its a lot harder to stop someone in a car and bring a whole lane of traffic to a stop than it is to tackle a biker into the side of the road or onto the pavement and give them a ticket without causing a comotion.
