• Quit nicorette replacement (healthier than cigs but same as addictive) and spending too much time reading this forum. And no more frame purchases and bike building projects this year (that will be hard...). Using Helvetica all the time.

• skoota
photoben Not to cycle home on my own when I'm completely wasted....

there always double me when i cycle home pissed...

i love pot, i'm not officially giving it up but i think we should be estranged for awhile, get back to not being dizzy when i have to put a burst of speed on, due to lack of oxygen.
The only way i can leave it alone is if there isn't any in the house.
If there is, I can't help myself, and I got given a Henry for Chrissy.

Poo.

• I've mounted a few Polars to bars.. they look like these..

you smokin' dog shit, man? you wanna try some of that maui-wowi stuff... it's the only reason i can think of that you still got a henry left this long after chrissy!

• i have resolved to start to drink again

• I'm going to give up any alcohol that isn't vegetarian. Surprising how much isn't, but I still get a good choice :)

And I'm going to give up leaving my uni work to the last minute, as I am without doubt going to fail my exam on Monday. :(

• yeah but the stuff that is is generally good, to bad your not out here or i would introduce you to left hand and flat tire

• Will:

1. Learn to wheelie
2. Draft novel
3. Try not to get bored and leave my job within a year
4. Fix back
5. Learn a new martial art (if they stop me going back to the old ones)
6. Lindy-hop more
7. Move in with the lady
8. Lose a bit of weight, tone up, and increase general health levels
9. Turn up to some bloody group rides
10. Try, try, try not to buy any more sodding bikes...

• brakes

• Pistanator Givin up cigs is a piece of piss, it's booze that's harder. Try going to a pub and drinking coke all night!
A tip someone gave me was to get a soda water and lime. It cost nothing or is very cheap and much better than those sickly J20 fake booze things or horrible pub coke.

• Be more time efficient.

• ads - horrible pub coke!? that's the best kind of coke, extra syrup!

Definitley not, my friend, but I have just finished the stuff I bought myself for Christmas/NY :)

• vegansdontneedgears i have resolved to start to drink again
wish I could buy you a drink Chris ... come back!

I will give up:

self pity, mobile telephones, excessive salt/pot noodles, buying cd's, dull conversations, chasing girls (unless we're racing), paying to pee, paying too much rent, being on the interweb all evening, being late.

I will take up:

more facial hair, more swimming, haberdashery, cassette (audio) collecting/archiving, getting up earlier and mornin rides, being fairer to myself and trying not to do everything all the time.

Happy 2008 (twothousand-and-great) kids.

• eeehhhh ads - horrible pub coke!? that's the best kind of coke, extra syrup!
I bet you like Sam Smiths coke best too! Urgh!

• addie Will:

1. Lindy-hop more

where do you lindy hop in london?

• I'm giving up my overdraft this ye... no, no i'm not, why should i? it's interest free after all!!

Instead I think i'm going to try and stay as far out of it as possible, by not using it to buy bikes.

• scot you and me have the same diet

• As I stopped smoking in 2003, stopped drinking 2007, stopped buying bikes 2007, cleared all my debts in 2004 and cleared my mortgage in 2005 I'm inclined to start livin-it-up a little!!

ASM and any other overdraft abusers take a looksee here http://www.stoozing.com/ for tips on kicking the system back.

• Deffo givin' up the fags this month, I hear Champix is the new killer app for quittin', Zyban and patches never worked for me... As Irma Thomas once sang 'I got Zero Willpower'...
Hapy new year kidz! :)

• i am gonna try and stop bleeding ;)

• ChrisNW Is having a long list likely to help you succeed at one of them, or are you hoping to bag the lot?

Most of them are linked: exercising more and going out more, means less time (and money) to spend chasing dream bikes. More exercise, including bike rides, and a few tangible goals/activities also means less boredom and more focus. 'Spose it all whittles down to:
Do more. Fart about less.

[cite]vegansdontdogears[/cite]where do you lindy hop in london?

Well, the point is we haven't been in ages. Been when we did, either of the Jitterbugs classes/dances, plus there's always a suitable moment back when Modern Times was still running, or down in the two square-metre space at the Black Gardenia...

• Happy new year all of you lovely people.

Oh god i hate this stuff. But I love the Lindy Hop pledge! Best one I've ever heard. I'm tempted to see your Lindy Hop and raise you the Mashed Potato.

I always either A) try to give up herb, and end up smoking tons of fags
or
B) try to give up fags, and end up smoking loads of 'spliffs' (with hardly any weed in).

You gotta do all of em, or not at all.

I agree that stopping boozing is probably harder still, I've never tried. Did anyone watch that silly geordie woman binge drinking for england on telly last night? Made me REALLY wanna give up everything. Or at least have the odd day off.

Maybe its time to get hypnotised.

My girl just started trowing all her old cassettes away... are they cool now or something?

What's all this about veggie booze? you having us on? I remember people used to say Newcy Brown had lard in, I thought that was just southern lies.
