  • The MASH book of photos is really nice. Some fantastic shots of the fixed gear culture over there, and really well presented. Though there seems to be some CD type thing stuck in the back....?

  • How much is the DVD/book, Todd?

  • uuuu a MASH book... where can i get it ?
[edit] : ok Magma, i see..

  • Todd Just a heads up.
After all the enthusiasm I've put in at work (Magma) about stocking the MashSF DVD + book, we've finally got it coming in!
It's being sent out from SF in 2 weeks so will be out on display soon.
So far there's only 2 companies going to be stocking it in the UK and Mash have taken very kindly to our store.
Don't know the price yet but could stretch up to £20 ish.
We also have Pedal back in stock.
    Looking forward to it ;-)

aaaarrrrr magma, how long you been working there my mate (simon) used the run the one in manchester. great shop but i find my money runs out to soon!
do you know if there is a new refill mag out yet????

    Nice one

will pop in to check the mash stuff

  • ah shit i was hoping to goto the covent garden one tonight and exchange the pedal dvd and book someone got me or it.

Been there since the start of this year. I kinda work between all London stores but have set up camp in Clerkenwell for Xmas. I haven't seen a new refill for a while but reckon we're overdue on that. There's some good stuff in at the moment so be careful!..it's tooo easy to part with your cash!!! ;-)

is that your bike parked outside the clerkenwell shop?

  • is that your bike parked outside the clerkenwell shop?

    Today Witcomb, most days Paganini.
You teach at Back Hill right?

  • Looks like I'll have to take a look in covent garden tomorrow

Went to Clerkenwell Screws yesterday and saw your bike outside. Nice.

  • Scrapper ah shit i was hoping to goto the covent garden one tonight and exchange **the pedal dvd and book someone got me or it.
    **

why you taking that back that dvd's wicked???

  • I tought MASH was a pretty dull film. just a 'skateboarding' style video but with less tricks.

from the preview I had expected more of a a documentary of the 'bike culture' in SF but instead you just get long shots of some guy riding a bike around doing skids...with arrospok

  • shite, i got to head to work, so i dont know if theres been a post (in this thread, or anywhere else), but i just posted my MASH set to flicky pants - is there an official pool?

  • Yep when's fixed gear cycling gonna get the intellectual Iain Borden-style anthropological treatment instead of action video sequences? Own up if you're in pre-production right now media whores...

i got a copy last year, friend brought one for my birthday last month.
i have no problems with 2 bikes, but 2 dvds is not needed

    I'd give you that pickle...

  • I'm watching a mates copy right now. It's pretty amazing. If you like watching some wankers riding their bikes like cunts that is.
The tricks are (as mentioned) cringeworthy and hill bombing is really fucking dull to watch (although fun to do).
To me fixed videos seem about a good idea as doing a video of a club training session. It's just ppl riding bikes on the roads.

Thanks for the words of wisdom.

  • thats me. A modern day prophet.

Anyway want me to review anything else?

  • MASH=lame
doesn't do it for me either E.T has better bike action plus you get a happy ending.

  • i thought that...but when i watch it i found there were aspects i appreciated.don't ask me what .
and i watched it in a great place with some great people....that made it for me (not E.T!)

  • that's half the fun, right there.

I expect If one put a dvd on a laptop and had one eye on it and the other eye on the chimney, one would get rather bored rather quickly.
