Amuse also at Clarkson shedding a tear or two when crossing the line at the enduro race.

Fixed is likely to be way off their radar, you (or someone) would need to alert the production team to the idea.

I'll Ride ! Dressed like the Stig on a full Carbon fiber Colnago track bike rivaling Jezza's Carbon fiber Ferrari Enzo !

fixed looks very gay compared to bmx it wouldn't be as interesting/exciting for viewers.

it would be if you're racing from on end of the M25 to another through the centre of London.

but it wold show that on a bike you can get anywhere at least 20 mins faster on a bike, not just 5 minutes.

on a velodrome!! now that would be cool. A concrete one would sustain the weight of a sports car I guess... mmm.. I can see an idea coming for MY media outlet.
-
• #17
do it!
-
• #18
the car would obviously win on a velodrome, what make the bike fast is that it can weave though traffic, unlike the car which gets stuck in a jam. BUT it would make good pictures

Well obviously if you were doing it on a concrete velodrome you'd fill it with cars/buses/taxis/pedestrians to simulate traffic. :)

I have driven cars on a bunch of these oval tracks... pretty boring - they're rather flat too.
I'm thinking of the Velodrome in Paris - steep, short and beautiful...
-
• #23
Ok not so short in fact
-
• #24
Bring it on..
-
• #25
I'm gonna do the car vs fixed across the city thing for one of the car magazines I write for - we'll pay a realenger to take part. Maybe as much as fiddy dorrar.
On now..
