I've lived in London for two years working for the government

That sounds slightly sinister. Are you a spy?

(Or is that the world's stupidest question?)
Yes if I was a spy I wouldn't be able to tell you. I would just say I work for the government.

Nah I'm too punk for MI5/6, I work for the Department of Health answering Alan Johnson' and Gordon Brown's letters. It's quite poop really.

Where'd you get the rims? I've just been eyeing up their hubs which are a bit nice...

edit// looking closer - did you just go for the pre-built wheelset?
I got the complete wheels off pistanator, they came off his bianchi alu pista, but they weren't $$bling bling$$ enough for him. i'm running a hope/dt on the front atm though because i can't bring myself to ruin the non machined sidewalls on the front wheel.

+those wheels with 19mm tubs fast as fcuk.

  • wow, lots of steerer!! how do you find geometry? looks like my mtb with 700c on it. toss the bontragers, not the best tyres ;)

  • it's the second one I've had. Geometry is spot on and slightly higher BB than most fixies. I like a fairly compact and upright position hence the steerer size.

You don't rate the bontys? I love em..

Here's what it used to look like in a slightly larger size

  • dogsballs wow, lots of steerer!! how do you find geometry? looks like my mtb with 700c on it. toss the bontragers, not the best tyres ;)

I think they designed it to be like that. It is meant to be mbt rider friendly and capable of running cross tyres so you can take it off road.

I like the hardcases too as long as you don't skid too much.

What happoned to the first one lucky?

  • lucky only been posting here a week or so. I know a few people who post on here though from another place

yo, still haven't got the black vinyl...

  • previous one came to an untimely end after trying to remove a stuck seatpost. Spent two days working on it and ultimately destroyed the seat tube. It now belongs to RPM.

shins - popped in to a shop today to get some but their workshop was closed. Got some contact details for some though.

  • we should do beers before xmas, andy.

  • we should.

    it's your shout :-)

hahhaa, nice of you to give it to the most patient person in the world, who will take time to remove it carefully :P

  • well there wasn't much left in the end. Got frustrated and drove a screwdriver through the side of the seat tube whilst trying to force the last few scraps of it out. Should have just sent it to argos to have it removed and sprayed.

    Expensive mistake really.

  • I'm surprised you've got enough time to be on here what with your new possition of responsibility.
