Whoa! I was just reporting an opinion that had been voiced this side of then pond. Don't know what the fashions are in London nowadays, but over here it's NJS frames with crazy anodized groups all the way, hence the cusses on it. I think the reasoning seemed to be 'why fit out an entry-level frame with high-end parts'.
As I said, other than my own personal issues with gold pretty much anything, I think it looks smooth. Hell, I ride a Fuji Track myself.
Although I have a friend with the Paul Cranks that had a bit of an issue - cranks and chainring steel, supplied crank bolts alu. T-h-r-e-e-a-a-d.
