also, any older aero helmets are NOT designed to protect your head on numerous angles. i think they'll protect from a face first crash but that's about it. they're designed primarily for aerodynamics. the old ones tend to have a longer stem (?) in the back, which, can also get caught on something and snap your head in the wrong directions.
i'm not sure about the newer ones - i kinda want to get one though and go zipping around boston on my shitty track bike in full spandex and an aero helmet just to be "that guy"
