  • Okay am getting the hang of it now! It doesn't really matter as long as you are out there riding and having fun!

  • Yeah we honestly don't care about what bike you ride! No idea how i managed to post that message twice...

  • iainr73 - it's not about what you ride - it's about fast you can make the f*cker go!

...well maybe not on critical mass.

  • I'll be there on 'red bike'...

Will be cool to put some some faces to usernames... :-)

  • Are you going to have a big red arrow pointing to your bike?

  • if i can get away from work in time i might join you

  • iainr73 Okay am getting the hang of it now! It doesn't really matter as long as you are out there riding and having fun!

This is a mantra I often live by.

Fuck fast, fuck brakeless, fuck fixed etc... unless you feel the need to have these things to have fun, in which case go for it. If you're ridding a squeaky £49.99 for two half ton MTB with full suspension and plenty of rust... but you're having fun, then you're the kinda person I want to know. If you laugh at someone for riding a fixed wheel bike with brakes then you probably aren't. Go back to reading Vice or The Face or whatever.

DISCLAIMER: I've been to the pub drinking schooners of Coopers. Although I can still type amazingly well.

40 year old Roadies are fair game though. :D Especially the prick today who decided to jump the que whilst waiting at the lights and put himself infront of me (he was clearly more important than me). I hate shit like that, its just rude. I bet he wouldn't have done it if I had a fancy spaceship/midlife crisis bike like his and was head to toe in lycra (not that there's anything wrong in that). It's not as if he was going faster than me (before or after the lights).
Also the 40 year old roadie who sailed through a red light whilst me and another cyclist were patiently waiting. His bike may have been worth way more than both of ours combined but he's also almost twice my age and should know better. Giving the rest of us a bad name. Cunt.

    Rant over.

  • to whoever it is who can't read threads at work when they contain swearwords I apologise.

Ah I only like superficial people, the shallower the better. If your threads are not slick, your bike cool and your music underground you're sh!t to me.

Ya know what? I used to like Coopers Pale Ale. It's shitloads better than CUB crap.
I had some at a bar in Hoxton the other night and it was actually kinda feral.
I think I've adjusted to euro beers and that's no bad thing! (until I return to Oz that is)

That is where you go wrong....

You tried Sierra Nevada Pale Ale? Really good. Apparently there's a pub somewhere near the globe that sells it on draft.

  • But I used to drink the bottles and it was good.. maybe it doesn't travel around the globe well?
Don't think I have tried SNPA. Will keep an eye out for it. I still need to get a bottle of that um Greenwich Pale.. Meantime, that's it.

  • No as you were drinking in hoxton!

Yeah check it out, cracking brew. You fancy going to greenwich wed 3rd after work? Going to be drinking in the union then.

  • im gonna do this 1 with a couple of other peeps

Oh, I dunno.. didn't seem too bad. We'd been drinking all day already though and we were only there for a couple.
It's funny coz I had no idea where we were going and then I recognised these bars I'd been to 6 months ago! I wonder if I needed those brain cells?

It's funny cos the Family Guy episode on is all about the guy getting hammered to play piano and killing off brain cells! It even had oompa loompas!

Wed 3rd? What's the Union? Special occasion or just getting drunk?

  • Wildebeest theory....

  • Gonna be there for work. Then drunkness.

I'll only laugh when he crashes into someone else, probably because the accident will look hilarious. I take exception to him crashing into me, that's no laughing matter!

I don't particularly give a fuck whether someone has brakes or not, but i do give a fuck when they harm me because of it.

  • cool well i guess i'll see everyone there. Next to the red bike and big red arrow lol. What time roughly? I'll prob get there early (or late) depending on if i get lost or not. Today a 20 mile ride turned into bout 30 i'm still getting used to london and its sign post's lol
