Critical Mass - September '07

hey guys, well i move into uni on monday and my bike becomes chosen method of transport. And to celebrate this i'm going to pop along to critical mass. But alas i know no one in london yet so i thought i'd see who was going? Oh ok i know its the last fri of the month but where does it all start? from?

Critical mass starts at half 6 outside the national film theatre on the south bank. I'll be there, standing in the circle of stones just east of it :)

september critical mass is next friday! Hurrah. I'm sure there will be other people from londonfgss.com going. Also theres a ride being organised for that weekend too! :)

The night ride is that weekend as well.

I'm not meaning to start an argument. Just wondering.

I went on the last one, stopping every twenty minutes or so and shouting 'one less car' was a bit dull, but riding around the city, drinking beers and enjoying the night was a lot of fun.

Definitely worth going on, especially with the FGSS crew.

You know its possible to do this without the "one less car" bullshit any night of the week. Probably just have to steer clear of busy roads. I think someone should organise a ride on critical mass nights somewhere well away from the actual "mass"

I have my own critical mass every day where I just ride my bike without shouting or upsetting other people (much)

and that, dear people, is the whole fucking point.

you shouldn't need to raise awareness about how badly cyclists are served in this country.

new york, and san francisco... and maybe other places, too?

Never done CM but I always used to wondered what it was used to see it pass when i was havinga few bevvies at the Toucan (best guiness in london)
