  • My new (but not new if you know what i mean) bike is a baby blue Bridgestone keirin all the way from the boys in Kalavinka in Tokyo,
    cost to me £45!
Will show pics when i wake up from immense jet lag.

I need to know where i can get one of those clamp brake things- or should i just drill it?

  • oh and also
I have the hubs, but need a cheap wheel build, any suggestions (yes i know I should 'NJS' it, but i can't afford it whatsoever).

  • you went!! i didn't know ...

£45 shipping? Or thats how much the frame was... :|

  • don't feckin' drill it

  • £45 for the frame. and BB. And Seat.
then another 70 went on Chainring and crankset ( Shim Dura Ace) and Seatpost. (don't ask why the seat came with the frame and not the post)
then 25 ish on a nitto stem.
total: £140. An it is sitting downstairs.

  • pics please! :)

  • bloody bargain

  • jeususususususssssss

  • they're coming. i promise.....
Anyone know where i can get one of those clamp front brake thingys?

  • Try here. Thought about get one for my Nag but have decided to ride it on the road as little as possible.

Sounds like a bargain...is in new? and if not is it clean?

  • 31trum don't feckin' drill it

Agreed...you'll likely struggle to find a brake anyway...clearances will be too tight!

  • just get some cheap 700c forks from Brick Lane Bikes

  • its not new, and thats kinda why i bought it, need a day to day bike.

  • jos has a few nice chrome drilled 700 forks lying around at his place. didn't ask how much though, wouldn't be expensive though.

  • chrome?
    might make some sense.
    Will chat, cheers.

  • Sorry about the quality.
To add to it- i begged, and bought some cheap stuff in japan too:

    Shimano 50T chainring and crankset.
    White keirin saddle (free)
    seatpost
mismatched hubs ( one black, one gold).
    nitto stem
It is going to be pretty when i build it, and vaguely cheap (around 300, maybe less)- have splashed out in some areas
And is called 'Chloe' in case you are wondering.

  • htay

don't use this it will rip you a new arse hole..believe me.

Chloe is going to build up into a real beauty. I am still reeling from the fact you got for so little. nice one

  • nice pick up Htay realy like the powder blue. have you decided what to do about a break....braekless??? or swtich the forks?

  • oh have bought a clamp brake-
should arrive next week or later.
If if arrives after i've built it up - ill ride brakeless.

how much did you pay for the clamp brake Htay? friend of mine needs one for a frame she bought from roberto

  • around the same as the frame- from njsframes.blogspot.com says it comes with most things......
it is my biggest expenditure- and hopefully will remain that way.
It is to keep my dad happy.
I'd ask jos about that fork- prob cheaper in the long run

  • really nice.

  • htay

not an option. she spent a lot of money on the frame and wants to use the original forks, which i can understand. be sure to post up photos when she is fully built. all the best

  • she or he, i'm confused now!? sorry htay, never met you.
