    I am and was part of many underground "trends", "fads", "groups", "cultures", whatever you want to call it so the fixed wheel elitism is nothing new.. It's a part of any sub-culture.. Straight Edge, Veganism, BMX, punk rock and hardcore.. We all love it, we all talk about it non-stop to our friends trying to make them understand why it is we love it so much, trying to get them to try it!

    But then everyone else DOES understand why we love it, and they love it too, and now we have nothing to explain or talk about, they all know what you mean, they all do it as well, you're not cool anymore and you hate the trendies sooo much!

    Sorry Jon, but I think an attitude like that in a shop like Brick Lane Bikes is very bad for business.. If everyone who spent money at the shop were barely surviving hardcore cyclists that just wanted to replace a broken headset on their beater, you'd be fucked! Especially considering how low maintenance fixies are :D
