I'd advise against this. As I said in a thread in which fare evading was being discussed, I know first hand that police officers will arrest you on the basis of vagrancy if you are unable to provide any documentation no matter how tenuous to show who you are.

It's a horrible loop-hole but one that they will use.

If you've earned the £30 fine I'd say you should be thankful you're getting off so lightly, nothing will go on record and you can ride away. So take it on the chin son and pay the fine.
