@ MAC USERS:
I know it's nothing to do with bikes but...
anyone have a copy of Mac OS Tiger which I could use to update my operating system?
I'm getting desperate now! Leopards out soon and I'm falling so far behind :-( -

edmundane: cash would probably be fine.. although my fuji track is getting here today (hopefully) so I might need a few things - a front brake and lever and an 18t cog and lockring?

Anybody up for a cosmetic transplant of eggbeater springs (300 series). Ride the blue ones at the moment but would be more than happy swapping them for red or silver.

cool.
you know what size are they? they should have it written on the inside of the crank... 170mm?
i have some road levers, a rather bad front brake (sidepull one that sticks to one side). let me know if it would be useful. -

got a spare pair of continental 26mm MTB inner tubes going for free to anyone who wants them.
I ordered a tyre set from wiggle: a pair of conti gp4000 and pair of inner tubes. for some bizarre reason they sent me mtb tubes which would fit around the outside of the tyres quite comfortably i think.. anyway, I told them and they sent me some of their special super heavy weight 18-25 inners for free, so in the interests of sharing the wealth, the MTB tubes are now going free too.

edmundane right looks like the ball's starting to roll.
sounds good stonster, can't wait to see it!
nat, i'll send u a list of stuff i've got...Right then, had a look at edmundane's list of bits. I'll be getting access to the bending apparatus on thursday evening, so provided it all goes ok what do you two reckon to making the swap Friday after work, or Sat am or Sun pm. I live in hackney but will be coming from South Ken at least on Friday. To be honest anywhere within the South/ North circular is probably cool. Hope my delay hasn't scuppered the trade, sorry bout that.

Does anyone have a Cateye computer? I have a mounting bracket for an Enduro2 that I've finally come to terms with never replacing..
I've also got an 18T Shimano freewheel for the singlespeeders out there..
2 x 14mm track nuts that fit normal size axles..
System-Ex 27.2mm seatpost..
1" ITM full-carbon forks..
Bontrager RaceXXXLite 31.8 OS 100mm stem (that should be in the bin as it has fine splits near bolt holes but if someone wanted to test the length?)
Probably a pile of other crap that I'm not going to look through in the next 5 years.. -

BringMeMyFix Got a Selle Italia Flite (2005 model) - mainly indoor use. In great condition: very superficial scuff on one edge, and the logos are faded. My physiology/position seems to have shifted, so I'm trying other options.
Can deliver, and would trade for bottle of Ardbeg 10yr, or Laphroaig 'Quarter Cask' or 10yr - there's reasonable deals in the supermarkets.
Possibly open to other suggestions. Oh, it's like this:
what colour is it??

Hey guys, it's looking good. I could do early after work on Friday (maybe 5-6:30ish), I work in the city. Or maybe Sunday afternoon, either near the city or I live in Tower Hamlets, near Mile End tube. So Hackney would be good. Edmundane, where do you live/work?
Friday afternoon would be good, as then I can take it to my LBS to get it cut to length on Saturday.
Yay!

It's just a freewheel.. not a whole wheel.

In that case.....nope not for me!
Getting carried away with all this freewheel/singlespeed, fixedgear/fixedwheel business!

Hey Dave/ Edmundane, possible spanner in the works though not too serious. My mechanic friend reckons a jig would be even better for bending the forks than the monstrous Park Tools lever thing I was thinking of. The jig will, I believe, have gauges so I can get the steerer/ fork legs more precisely precisely aligned. Trouble is I'll have to wait til Sunday to use this as that's when she's working at the shop where the jig lives. If you're desperate I'll go ahead and do the job on thu, by eye, otherwise do you wanna wait to Sunday (i'll even cut them to size if you confirm the exact length of the steerer tube once more for me, with the headset race removed). P.S. on the off chance Dave, is your LBS London Fields Cycles? And just to clarify, the lilac I'm talking about is quite a light one, but it's definitely lilac.
hahahha - unfortunately I sold my Flite miniature to imoncrank's midget
