Here's what happened:

SJ was heading to JWT from Soho, a run that should take less than 15 mins. After 25 mins, I began to get concerned (believe it or not, I worry if a rider is late calling in - partly because they might be flaking off, mostly because I worry that something might have happened to them, and they might be lying in the road covered in blood). I called her on the radio a couple of times. No reply. Then I called her on the phone a couple of times. No reply.

After a couple of minutes she called me on the phone, very distressed and confused. She wasn't sure where she was. Some bystanders spoke to me and told me they had called an ambulance. Then she spoke to me again and was talking about her delivery and how she still had it. I told her to forget about the stupid parcel, that I couldn't have cared less about it. Which was the truth. It was her idea to get the ambulance to stop at JWT. I would never ever even contemplate prioritising a delivery over a rider's medical attention and neither would my boss, come to that. Once a rider is hurt the ONLY thing that matters is making sure that everything that can be done to help that rider is done.

I bitterly resent you even suggesting such a thing.
