• gorilla_squad
I am after a good backpack at the moment, a few heavy load of late have had my shoulder feeling as if it is about to fall off after 30 min or so but the shape of hiking ones is wrong for riding. The wig ones look good but pricy.

Me too...Banjo Brothers do a fully waterproof rucksack:

It got a pretty positive review at fixedgeargallery (http://www.fixedgeargallery.com/reviews/backpacks/banjo/index.html). I've ordered one but haven't received it yet - the main drawback being that there don't seem to be any UK distributors so I had to get it from the US. It's around 25l and came to about £50 including postage (don't know whether it'll get through customs though).
Yeah I am expearmenting with an old rucksac at the moment that is about the same size, so smaller than my shoulder bag. It os fine for most stuff but what I really want is one a bit bigger for when I have big loads + loads of strap to tie on really big / alkawrd loads but hiking ones that are big enough are this orible long slim shape.

Some thing like this wig one but as 100 odd quid it is a bit pricy. I am thinking of getting creative with a n old backpack and some vynal sign (if I can find some) and loads of webbing.
