  • I generally eat pretty healthily. In between meals I'll eat bread with olive oil, fruit and raw veg like cucumber. Not too much fruit though, it does give you the shits when eaten in large amounts.

    I've been a fan or the energy providing wonder of bananas since well before I got back into cycling. They keep your breath fresh too.

    Generally I eat carbs at lunch, and do before long rides, then veg in the evening. A little meat with both, but only about 4 nights a week in the evening. I love meat but not in large amounts on a daily basis - it's not great on your bowels. That said, my diet only really affects my energy levels and perhaps my long term susceptability to heart disease. I'm a skinny fucker and my diet seems to have no relation whatsoever to my weight.

    I do have a glaring exception to the healthy eating though. I have a strong penchant for these:
