Asian bloke flogging clothes in Condor is also a nice chap. Waiting time for a blinking bike is a nightmare mind.
I really can't fault Evans at Ludgate Circus. So, so pleasant and pretty knowledgeable (many of them Polish for some reason). Plus, one of them has a beautiful Lemond fixed gear.
All of the other Evans I have been to have been cack.

Canary Wharf Evans isn't too bad, but they never stock anything I'm after. Going in there is like the cheese shop sketch from Monty Python.

"If you've ever tried to have products made in the UK, you'd apreciate how
hard it is to get craftsmanship and reliable delivery. I wish it was
otherwise."
If they really sent this reply it is a disgrace and they should be outed for anti-British bias on every cycling website and I would hope dropped by any British cycling club who they sponsor. Whatever about producing stuff abroad, I think its an accepted tradition of capitalism, rubishing native craftspeople in this way is very damaging to our economy and could result in companies going abroad who would otherwise create jobs in Britain. -

I am sure to stay away from them even more after I received this horrendous reply. I can't belive he even stated that British craftminship is crap, look at some of the best clothing and cycling companies are in the UK.

A disgrace? I disagree. Are there any manufacturing jobs left in Britain? Are there any call centres which haven't been re-located to foreign countries?
I wonder why.....

Thatcherism - death of unions, artificial strength of sterling, global free market capitalism, acquiescence in the face of seductive foreign marketing, vampiric property developers/warehouse conversions, bottom-lining mentality, devaluing of manual skills, investment in training/apprenticeship, etc, etc, etc.
But I remain optimistic ;-)

I'm sure all of us with good sense and taste, because we see through and don't fall for crapha's marketing bollox, will have to turn down this generous offer, after all if they have to reduce their prices to get a sale then their products can't be any good, innit? :-)
When the offers ends, they can continue with flogging their stuff to city bankers and lawyers when they visit condor :-)
have a good time mate,i dont know what im going to do without you to annoy......dave t is my next target:)
