maybe its just how he feels because he is white, i can understand a feeling of guilt.when i think of what the white(british) have done to other countrys i feel quilty and slightly ashamed of my roots.

Yeah of course w e have been bastards, in history mind you so have people from most other areas of the world. That is the point, there are people that do bad things from all over the world and of ever race through out history and at the moment it is just that European / Ameriacan colonialisum has been the one that has mostly shaped our current modern world.

no I don't think it makes what we have done any better but I beleave in trying to look forward everyone has done bad things all you can try and do is be positive in the futre. doesn't always work but we can give it ago!

Yeah I agree with Brick, I have no problem with recognising what's happened in the past but feeling guilty about is pretty pointless and can lead to some bizarre things.
