You're going to find they're vastly different knives. I prefer a heavy knife but thin behind the edge. Knives from the sanjo region appeal to me. Most used to prefer lasers but now workhorse grinds are becoming more popular. I sometimes feel this is pushed by inexperienced western makers with only a few years in the game...
