Yeah, as basic as it gets. Heat pump is a way off, need to get the house up to scratch thermally first which is probably not far off 10 years away realistically.
@jellybaby because the door is always open so the cat can get to 'his' bed of course.
I'm not sure I'm sold on having individual TRVs though I realise that's the major benefit of that kind of system. Maybe I just need a slightly better dumb thermostat with a weekend programme.

There is no need for any thermostat at all with a heat pump, especially not a third party ‘smart’ one. I wouldn’t waste time & money on this kind of thing.
Do you not have even a basic programmable heating timer currently?
