Having been driven close to madness trying to keep my iMac 27 on the road as Mac's OS iterations disappear up the road, I'm now close to replacing it.
I'm looking at an iMac 24 or a Mac Mini with a proprietary monitor, eg LG UltraFine 32. Any thoughts?
It's imperative that I retain access to my Quadra remote drive and to my DVD reader. Both have standard USB plugs. How is this achieved?
Any recommended retail sources that accept their responsibilities when problems occur ?

Dongles/adapters/multi-port docks. Cheap and ubiquitous.
Buying direct from Apple is the path of least resistance, otherwise John Lewis with their '2-year guarantee', but I can't vouch for what that's actually worth.

Food for thought there. Thanks gents!
Faster ... more modern? You should see my bikes!

Only so many times you can buy adaptors and dongles to keep them going before you have to just upgrade to a more modern version of it..

Maybe!
Any chance you’ve tried the LG 5k? How do they compare?

Is there a UK version of Brick? I’m not gonna be in the states anytime soon but quite like the sound of it

I’m using the down time function which works surprisingly well. A bit of self shame goes a long way

That link gives me prices in GBP, is it not available here?

Yeah but delivery/taxes basically doubles the price

Interesting. My mate bought this mini hub and rates it:

Yeah hard to say. Might just be a bad batch? There's obviously folk out there that haven't had problems. Will report back with the store's verdict.
