Yes, this thread has illustrated that point very well. It's a shame they can't devise some red tape which doesn't do undue harm to the clean tech industry.
What's the situation in the EU? I once had to let a bookshop in italy make a photocopy of my ID so I could use their public wifi. Apparently this was because jihadis might get bomb recipes off the internet.
Thing is the OSA has so much red tape that its likely to have a huge negative affect on the UK tech economy at a time when the UK economy is not doing well and Labour has a 16% approval rating.
