Also could try CEX. Easy to return/exchange if there’s a problem.

Anker? Most of their stuff is decent quality/reliable. Presume they do one with the right output.

I got an iPad Pro 12.9 with the Magic Keyboard during lockdown initially as a second screen to use with my laptop. Over time it became my main device at work, I mostly use Office365 and a load of online resources. And it then morphed into my second screen on my lap when I’m watching something in the evening too. It’s been great, so much so, the laptop it used to be a companion too is now neglected and hasn’t been opened for a months/years.
But, the Magic Keyboard is now starting to come apart and the replacement cost doesn’t seem worth it for a 4.5 yr old iPad? So, I’m now looking to upgrade to the latest version but need some pre-purchase justification. Is Centre Stage that good for Teams meetings? Is the M4 noticeably faster/better?

If you were buying an iPhone from John Lewis what would you buy?
Focus more on value and longevity than the latest and greatest. Cheers

If you can wait a couple of months then probably the new SE which sounds like it’s iPhone 16 internals for less money

I got the new ipad pro that came out in the summer, pen and keyboard as well and it's been great. It's quite heavy with the keyboard case thing but still more versatile than a laptop for my use case. I had been using the 12.9 pro ipad since it was released and still use it although the big upgrade for me is face id. The keyboard trackpad is very good too. Pen if you use one is a massive upgrade on the early one as it now clips to the ipad and charges.

Bit of a long shot - but do any of you own a 2019 16-inch (intel based) MacBook Pro, and still managed to get a Windows 7 install going via BootCamp?

Actually John Lewis appears to be out of stock for lots of stuff so waiting for a new SE might work, although the vagueness around the date is a bit hard to sell.

I think March sounds sensible as they won’t want to cannibalise iPhone 16 or 17 sales (i.e. September), so announcing mid cycle seems right

Anyone had a battery replaced on a MacBook Pro recently? Are we talking days or weeks? Mine has given up the ghost and I need it replaced asap.

Mine was done in a week when it happened to mine.

24hours to 48 hours.
I used TecPrime in W6. I am assuming you have an older machine which Apple won't now touch.
Other local spots might vary -

@Arvy. @konastab01 my laptop is a 2019/20 MacBook Pro last of the intel ones.
I’m hoping I can book it in for repair at one of the Big Mac stores, but I am not currently in the country so can’t check on appointment times for that. But a couple of days to a week, isn’t too bad. Also @Arvy. what was the cost on that? When I checked through Apple they gave me a charge of £245

Wham. Just charging it to check it’s all good. Don’t think it’s ever been used TBH!
