Apologies if my comment of wondering what Kipps ate was in bad taste or upseting.
No it was all fine with me.
Wish the vets had figured it out sooner. And the cost! Took us from doing okay to tenuous in one hit.
It was a bit odd re costs for us. Kipps isn’t insured and this was made clear at the outset, as was our moral / ethical / whatever the right word is opposition to spending thousands and thousands on an animal. Initially it was “you’re looking at 1500’ish quid at the very outset for scans, bloods, x-rays etc and if surgery is involved would be at least another 2-3k “. I explained again that we don’t agree in spending thousands on chasing problems on small animals so we would not be doing that. The costs then seemed to shrink substantially to a level we were prepared to entertain.
I have to say I find it a bit odd / distasteful that a vets would mention their 0% payment plans for the big bill before ever mentioning they could shave the costs by +70%.
