Yeah I don't get that either. I made plenty of skimmed milk mochas & decaf single espressos in my time as a barista.
You're getting paid to make drinks for people, there's no need to be a prick about it. Now, if I thought someone was a first time visitor and asked for sugar in their latte, I might recommend they give it a try without sugar first as we use pretty decent coffee. Some would take the offer, some wouldn't, and that's perfectly fine. Some people want scalded milk that's bitter as shit and pour in a bucketful of sugar to counteract that, so be it.

What does that mean? That the plebs don't deserve 'nice' coffee? That they're too stupid to understand why you might not want to raise the temperature of milk to that that degree?
