In defence of Quoc, I would add that their customer service is super super good. I had a slight issue with the lining of mine and they immediately sent a replacement pair, no questions asked. Didn't even want me to return the old pair.
And Quoc is a real small indie business, full of enthusiasts and real people. Not a mega conglomerate/owned by a weapons manufacturer (Giro) etc.
