Ideally I want to take all of the stuff off my shitty planetx and put it on a frame that is a bit more capable and lighter.
Second hand is good. -

How is a well tested, mass-manufacturing Cannondale any different to a well-tested, mass-manufacturing Trek? Apart from the Trek brand dorkiness.

Mason Bokeh would be my choice

Cannondale's geometry is whack. Plus they use lots of their own 'standards', which makes replacing anything more challenging than it really ought to be.
Care to expand upon this? (not being snarky). Geo seems fine to me?

I bought a Kinesis GX Race recently and seems to tick all your boxes i think.
The paint quality leaves something to be desired but for £700 for a brand new frame im happy with it -

@ojwithbits is operating in my price range.
£925 from Kinesis so I'll have to shop around.this is also making me think : maybe?

I like my GX Race. Use two wheelsets, slicks to commute and for road rides and knobblies for off road. Mudguards too. Paint seems good to me
Thanks and fully aware of the time issues. The space for the Turbo is non-negotiable for this reason (parents with good physical and mental health will surely help...)
I have 2 x wheelsets and 1 x group etc that will be swapped over to the new bike. I would transfer the group on the SSSE to my existing gravel bike that I am bored of and sell it.
TT will be kept for the turbo, along with this do-it-all bike. The remaining 6 will have to find a home :(
Edit: live abroad and limited choice to try things, would have to order from the UK and ship.
