Anyone heard anything about Squadrats etc in relation to the Strava API changes? By my counting they are out of time, as the change was effective Nov 11 with 1 month's grace.

We talked to Strava on Friday, but the outcome is not conclusive yet. It looks like the way maps of the users are shared will be different as long as you use Strava to feed Squadrats with activities. As soon as we know more, we will inform all of you in detail. Thanks for your concerns. In any case: Squadrats aren't going anywhere!

This was my walk earlier today, coastal edges are often a ball ache as they take such effort to get to.
The point at 11.7 has registered on velo viewer but not on RWGPS, shown in the bottom image. Should I contact my local MP or is there a better way to fix it? -

Have you updated the activity precision on the SH site?

Thanks, so easy through stats Hunters. I was trying to do it through Velo Viewer and Strava. I can never remember what site does what.

This link doesn't work for me. Do we know if Squadrats will still be working with Strava come tomorrow?

I really hope so. Squadrats has given riding with long covid a bit more purpose. With a handful of 5-10km rides, I've grown my small square from 5x5 to 13x13, and my big square from 6 to 11. I had great plans to get the small square to 20x20 and to keep expanding the biggun.

No new info since that post but I would assume that no news is good news.
I think the only thing that would change is no more leaderboards, have seen them being removed from other similar tools. (Wandrer and wielervrienden.nl) -

Cunt of a ride today to get another 2 added to my big square. Happy New Year, muddy wankers.

Well, Squadrats is still talking to Strava, thankfully, as conditions today were a bit horrible and it would've sucked if I hadn't got my square increased to 12x12. Three hours out in that weather and didn't see one single other cyclist...

I’m at a point now whereby in order to grow my little square I’d either have to enter the grounds of a primary school during the day (gates open) or else venture onto a driving range (gc).. neither of which seem to be a viable option.

Today was my day off.

Yeah, I got stuck like that (some Sheik's massive grounds and railway sidings) so you just keep getting tiles elsewhere until your square hops somewhere else.

To complete my town I've already had to do a bit of fence-hopping, but there are a lot of schools/private estates/farmlands/industrial premises now hemming me in. Got a head torch for Xmas, so hopefully I may be able to sneak into some at night. (this is not how a rational middle-aged man should be thinking, though, is it?)

On which note, anyone tried bagging tiles on a former landfill site (not yet fully remediated)? I may give it a swerve tbh.

Farmland I'm not that bothered about ("I got lost, where's the bridleway?") but private estates and private company premises have security teams, cameras, etc. It's not worth it.

Knowsley Safari Park limits my westward expansion, I'm pretty sure it entirely encloses at least one square.

At least that’s publicly accessible

Farmland I'm not that bothered about
Me neither, but we're on very flooded floodplain, so keeping a lot of that for spring. A plague of private schools girdle the town, however, and I don't want to have to explain being caught prowling the grounds of St Hortensia's Young Ladies' College in search of an imaginary square.

Not if the square is encircled by the lions' enclosure.

I've been off the tile hunt for ages now. What's the simplest way to plot routes? I used to have a setup where I could see my missing tiles and plot a route on the same map but I can't remember how I used to do it.
I've not had that before...
Got one little tile and my uberwhateverthefuck increased by 4 because my square just jumped out of it's "normal" location.
