Best colour imo. And a good price.

Hm, same price as new here in Canada.

Guessing some kind of tax thing, as you can't get them less than £299 in the UK.

Looks mint! Good luck with the sale, fair price, I'd snap it up if I hadn't spent my 2025 coffee budget already.

Gotcha.

New project grinder incoming. Plan is to remove the doser and 3D print a chute. Get some bellows and make it single dose.
Not what I wanted but the OD grinder didn’t pan out.

Considering parting ways with my barely used Bambino Plus as it seems La Pavoni machines are taking over my life. It's in white, £200 plus postage (Oxfordshire based). Will probably make a formal advert over on coffeeforums but thought I'd see if any interest here first.

Tidy!

How easy would it be to repaint it?
The paint looks ‘weathered’

Didn't you order the Philos back in August? Or did it arrive a while ago already?

I did- delivered to my parents in the UK, which I collected over Christmas.

That’s essentially where I’m heading. I had a tilt platform 3D printed for my Rocky but to be honest the bellows solves most retention issues.
Only thing is I’d prefer a rubber bellows rather than 3D printed this time. Hopefully with a tighter seal.

I still have a saved search for MDX because of this guy. So impractical and family unfriendly but just looks a freaking monster.

Any thermos flasks out there relatively small in capacity but with a wide enough opening to fit an aeropress?
-
• #28568
The soup flask surely will. I can measure and check in a couple of days when back home

Anything by yeti is my go to.

Picked up the grinder this morning. First impressions, it’s fucking heavy.
The guy I bought it off had a coffee kiosk in Bedford station apparently so it’s probably had a hard life.
Other than the paint work it ‘looks’ OK. He reassured me it worked, so will wait til I get home to find out if I’ve got a coffee grinder or a paper weight.

Not the shiniest purchase over the past few pages I'm sure, but very happy not to be relying on reusing retail coffee bags until the glue holding the little zip lock seals goes.
Good for 750g each despite being labelled 500g. Glad I didn't go for the kilo option!

The doser came off willingly to reveal a micro switch. Cleaned up and in situ it really is massive. But it’s very quiet.
I’ve got a set of bellows due to arrive Friday but I’m not super convinced they’ll fit. It’s an internal diameter of 5.2cm
My plan now is to fit a porter filter holder with a flatter micro switch to make is a sort of on demand single dose grinder.

My James Gourmet subscription has just ended. I may resubscribe as seems pretty good value for money. Anyone else I should consider before I do?
Moving house early next year and going to invest in something a little more automated for the morning espresso, anyone looking to get a cafelat robot? Excellent condition, well looked after, all bits there etc, will add a photo. £250 Inc postage?
