Musk terrifies me. In his mind he's on track to become the ruler of the world. He thinks he can manage the US, Europe and China. He reckons his businesses enable him to become the supervisory statesman of the globe. Dominant satellite network, internet backbone, social media onwership, space exploration, robotics, AI, brain-computer interfaces and half a trillion dollars....he thinks he has the full set of tools for controlling governments. His liberal freethinker schtick is a sham. He's really the biggest fascist of them all. And he's vicious and savage and arrogant enough to crush any opponents. Just look at the way he herds his own family. They are his breeding stock. He's a real life Bond villain and he's just getting started.

It's interesting that both the Cybertruck above and the Ford 150 EV that hit the people in New Orleans were hired on Turo which is peer to peer rental platform in the US.
The vehicles were therefore owned by private individuals who rented them to the perpetrators directly via that platform. Must have been a rude awakening when the swat teams hit.

It's also in the UK, I had a brief look at it on the basis that my car is unused the vast majority of the time and it would possibly make sense to rent it out.
The site is incredibly opaque about what you earn and how it works and promotes buying cars so you can rent them out ...

You can drive a foreign one about. Registering one in the UK isn't possible with modifications. How far those need to go is a bit of an open question since it hasn't happened yet, it's probably easier for a single vehicle than type approval.
'yiannimize' on YouTube has a series of videos on his Albanian registered import and his attempt to get it through the IVA process. The pointy bits seem to involve rubber strips on edges which I hope will be refused.
