hah ive had alloy rims on it for a while actually. I sold the carbon wheels this time last year. I do like rim brakes but the mtb has converted me to discs sadly.

Are those the Tune wheels I sold you? Still got them? Also how does the frame measure up?

They are them! They've been great, I may sell them as well, haven't rly decided yet. I attached the geo

Let me know if you do decide to :)
400mm reach is too long for me sadly. That and I probably shouldn’t buy another rim brake bike. -

Could you stick some disks on it?
Lovely bike. -

I can't make any promises, but could be interested in the wheels if you decide to shift on.

Thanks! I could put discs on it yeah itd be a fun project although slightly tricky to do it nicely. I thought about it for a bit, but the frame isnt really close enough to what i want to put together for my next road frame to warrant it. I want to build something a bit closer to a gravel/allroad bike next as the pure road riding i used to do doesnt really appeal anymore.
Also i was very happy with this frame overall, i think its one of the best frames ive built from a fabrication standpoint and id quite like to leave it as it is.

I do really like that frame and if i think about it too much ill want to keep it, but its just not getting ridden and i dont have the room. This was my favourite configuration

I see in the cad that the top tube is 508mm - do you know what the effective TT measurement is? Also have you got a price in mind?

I built the hardtail for my gf. It was quite uneventful, i'm very pleased it came out nice. I worked all out on it and got it done in 4.5 days, which is very fast for me especially for a hardtail. We opted to rattlecan it for no so i'm currently in the process of painting it, but i'm taking my time and will try and do a nice job. When i find a reliable powdercoater near here we'll probably get it done properly.
The geometry is quite similar to mine except slacker head angle at 66.5. I thought it would inspire a bit more confidence. Its an 853 DZB front end and columbus rear.

I think its gonna be a cool frame. I'm starting on the next hardtail for a friend in the next few days and aim to get it done before the new year. Its also full 853/Columbus rear.
Its the second frame i've built for him, hes gonna race the Atlas mountain race on it in Feb.

Also i forgot to put up pictures of the road frame i built for my gf last year. I was quite happy with it and she really likes it. However i wish id made it a bit more compact. It was painted by a local guy who did a decent job but not fantastic, probably wont use again. The colour is nice tho.

In the new year im gonna build my dad a minivelo. Like a velo orange neutrino - big tyres, comfy, IGH, maybe belt drive, probably 853. Rly excited.
After that i'm gonna build myself a new hardtail, theres a few changes id like to make, both to the frame and to my process and id like to experiment on my own frame. Primarily, I intend to set up the lathe to mitre tubes and figure out all that. Im gonna make the frame a bit slacker and add a few water bottle bosses/rack mounts, as well as experiment with some brake mounting changes.
Im really into Reynolds at the moment, the 853 range appeals for a lot of builds, they have a great selection of butt lengths.

I also built a new stand for my jig which rotates. It's super handy idk why I didn't do it years ago.
