Any update on the new modified zoa rainshell ?

Zoa Rain Trousers (black) scheduled for 28th Nov, along with Rainshell Jacket (in orange, and a dark evergreen).

Any news?

Out of curiosity, does the women's Zoa have more insulation than the men's, given their typically lower body temp?

@pacef8 @gav Zoa Rain Trousers and Rainshell will be launching this Thursday coming. Sorry for delay, but warehouse blanket stopped booking deliveries in, to prioritise Black Friday shipments out(!).
Trousers are a 'MkII' with a new Pertex fabric, featuring a more effective/durable C0 DWR (that we're really impressed by), and a tweak to give more waist adjustment.
Zoa Rainshell is getting a new colour for AW24+, in same top-of-line Pertex Shield Air fabric, and no change to features. ...think I can say now it's the same deep evergreen ('shale green)' as the insulated Zoa Mountain Jacket. Colour appears deeper and richer because of the dull, matt texture of Rainshell face fabric over the insulated face.

@exteroceptive we've dialled the '24 insulated Zoa Mountain Jacket to have a broader range of use, by selecting base/mid layer (and outer shell) for the conditions ....which will inevitably be changing over the course of a ride/day, and for the individual depending on level of exertion. Although I try to make decisions based on data/athlete-input, in this case I think leaving the decision up to the individual and preference for versatility in layering, rather than being prescriptive, is key. Optimising the available materials & features to give the most versatile garment (ie close-fitting neckline and hood to reduce loss-of-heat when zipped up) was key here. There's so many additional variables which can affect body temperature - and specifically 'comfort' and perception of cold . ...sorry, bit of a ramble there, but it's a highly personal topic, so would definitely be open to all and any thoughts on this.

Cheers for the reply. The thought came up when I was cycling home from the pub in my mk 1 Zoa, after a conversation about two-zone electric blankets with a few friends.

Great product^ those, still wear one running when it's cold.

I just checked through our trims box, and afraid I don't have any of those in-seam adjusters. I do have some small 'pigs nose shockcord adjusters' or 'pigs nose cord stoppers' , that could work just a little more bulk, or a single 'captive shockcord adjuster' would work (for single cord adjustment, and item attaches to hem with tape). ...nothing on the schedule just yet, but think you're SE London? Will be no worries to sort over xmas break.

New Zoa Rain Trousers and Rain Jacket are now up on the site - warehouse delays knocked on a bit.
I forgot to say in the bit above, a new feature in the trousers is inclusion of vent/bib-pocket access zips on both side of the trouser upper thigh, plus an internal pocket.

I'll take a peep, was there any updates to sizing, or the waist cynch mech for the trousers?

Yes it’s a great bit of kit and quite versatile for shitty weather, it has sentimental value as I wore it for wet tour of Flanders/Roubaix sportives and I’m not throwing it away just because those bits are broken.
I’ll re tie the chord in a fixed position and tighter for now and get some of those silicone stoppers to be fitted at a later date, the chord ends are sown in so will need to be cut and re sown.
I’m in SE but no rush to fix properly.

I think only sold out. Albion seem to make a batch of stuff for a season and then when it's sold they leave it until the next release, they don't seem to take the approach of maintaining high levels of stock and doing a firesale at lots of different retailers (ahem)

@RonnieOatmilk Sorry for delay, yes, there is now more adjustment in the waist, and with cinches on both sides. Aiming to get maximum versatility to wear over a light contour layer like underwear or bibs, through to insulated trousers, and as over-trousers.
@salevador just black for this winter - I really loved that olive, gave my pair to one of supported riders when we ran out of stock. Sad to see them go!
@jono84 yes, out atm - I can see Condor have some sizes left in pine or limestone if that's helpful?

Should I buy a Traverse?

I'm currently riding in an LS merino undershirt under normal summer jersey under a gilet because someone has misplaced their normal winter LS jersey (think it's a old Sportful something or other)

My albion bottles have worn out (after much use it must be said). Are they recycleable do we think? My guess is propbably not right, as the plastic is probably some mad composite type thing but thought I'd check.

@hippy I like my travese, the extra pockets are handy and the fabric is great

Big shout out for the Zoa trail hunter cap, whenever it gets cold I'm reminded that it's my fave piece of winter kit. It's a dream to have something that keeps your ears warm and plays well with glasses.

One thing I would note though, @Chopsicle. Maybe use stronger glue for the logo patch in the next batch. Mine came off after two washes, not really an issue at all as the hat is still great but thought I'd mention it.

@Chopsicle any idea of when you might re-up on the ultralight insulated jacket? I bought a medium but it’s too big!

@youramericanlover if you look for the recycling logo (triangle formed of arrows) there will be a number or lettering in the middle - the mark on a bottle body I just looked at has 'PE' = polyethelene. I think the lids are nylon, also recyclable, but take the silicon bit grip thing off (if there is one)

@returnofthestaff great to hear ...and yes; we have spent a lot of time this year redeveloping this transfer into two versions, largely because of this, apologies! The new generation of C0 DWR's appear to be silicone based, which doesn't adhere to the transfer adhesive. Feel free to send back and I can reapply, or drop into any of our future repair workshops.
