That is insane...

There is a better thread for this sort of thing ...

Wow. I didn't know a tree could do this.
Fortunately no serious injuries.
Surely this must have been a driver's mistake? How did the bus get so close to the tree, presumably a horizontal branch? Or what happened that caused it to hit the tree when previous drivers evidently got their buses through there unscathed?

I intervened with others to diffuse tension between a clearly in shock driver and a minority of passengers/passersby after this incident last night.
It was a grim scene and I hope the pedestrian can recover. My thoughts are with the driver too, hoping the bus operator has mental health care/support processes relating to incidents like these.

Sounds awful, hope you are doing ok as well.

Yeah, talked it through to help process it.

This is an odd one. A car crashed into the barrier on the Thames Path. It must have been brutal,
there are 2 tight turns to get there and there still is a broken off wheel and body parts
scattered on the approach. From the numberplate it could have been a black BMW if it was
LV64 EJO .

Someone has been hit while on foot on the M25 at midday. Pedestrians on motorways happens regularly (they are such barriers to movement that people will always try to cross somehow), but I can't remember hearing of such a crash at midday before. Anecdatally, I think they're usually in the evening or early evening. All that said, perhaps it was someone whose car had broken down. Hope the victim recovers.

There are huge tailbacks on the M25 after it was partially closed due
to a serious collision between a pedestrian and a car around midday on
Thursday. Both sections of the major motorway was closed between J29 for
Hornchurch and J28 for Brentwood as emergency services responded to
the scene.Despite The Standard no longer being printed, I can't believe this literal* car crash of language gets published online by a supposed journalist.

New Beckenham railway station wasn't wearing enough hi-vis.

Those train stations, they just beckon 'em.
The driver clearly crashed through this wall:
Park Road doesn't exactly look like a high-speed approach, but maybe it was the not uncommon case of accidentally pressing down on the accelerator instead of the brake pedal. 'No patient to treat' may mean that the driver wasn't injured or that they made off. Interesting that a similar crash apparently happened there not so long ago. I can't easily find anything about that, though.
Did you take those pictures, @c*j*f ? I see they're used on numerous news sites, or did you get them from there?

I got them from my local fb group.

“Cars can be lethal weapons. If you killed them you may have been sentenced for murder, and I would be sentencing you to life, with perhaps 20 to 25 years to serve. Fortunately for them and fortunately for you, those injuries were not as grave as they might have been.''
So, why wasn't it attempted murder? He went back out looking for them! WTF?

New Beckenham is my local station, and you could kind of see how someone would have thought that road just keeps on going, as bit of a weird lay out . Driver must have had a shock..

Blimey , massive four car crash right outside our house - Clapham Road - chaos, can’t believe the amount of pedestrians …. and quite a few cyclists , who were determined to get past anyway possible ….. while drivers and passengers still in smoking vehicles screaming ! Wow …..
Looks like everyone is ok though - at least two drivers off in Ambulances … -

No news about it yet that I can find. It probably won't be reported unless there are serious injuries.

woah, got any pictures?
He got out of the car, had a fight, went and picked up a few mates, tracked them down again and ran them over.
Pretty sure that going off to find a baseball bat, tracking them down again and hospitalising them wouldn't have been viewed the same.
