Mine required a bit of filing to swap. Quite time consuming as you obviously want to get it just right and it's a small part. But not hard.
Nervous about ripping my old case apart. But not sure why.
Edit: ripped it apart. Tricky to do without cerclip pliers. Annoyingly the new spring is quite weak to flip the key - so it does it in slow mo. Unfortunately the beefy oem spring got a bit twisted in the destruction but it doesn't fit the new latch hardware anyway.
Still for £7 and about an hour it's good enough for a 90k car.
