  • It's not your fault. Her bike does have a normal looking mount

It was only on closer inspection I spotted the hole in the back of the fork which makes me think the outside hole near the axle is meant for their PlugPlay mudguards. I'm still not sure though.

    Mason sell SKS mudguards
    https://masoncycles.cc/products/sks-longboard-mudguards

They're called Bluemels and/or Longboards but they have the short stays rather than the long ones (mounted on Mason 3d printed mounts) that I've used on all my other bikes. Do the SKS short stays have another name coz I can't find them on SJS as a spare part.

  • Dunno tbh!!! I suspect the only way would be to either ask SJS about the part they sell, or ask Mason, or both?
I suppose a Mason owner might be a better gauge. How long are the stays you received? The rear stays on my Bluemels come up as c.320mm, and I cut around 20mm off when trimming them for a 700x28c tire on my Raleigh.

  • SJS say they're 350-360mm. I could go for the Raceblade-style wrap around option but I'd prefer normal/proper mounting, especially since the fork already has holes and stuff for it.
