is that just glued on?
looks a bit shit...
-
• #9805
the insides of my Meermins have fallen apart whilst the uppers and soles are hardly worn in...
-
• #9806
That’s appalling
-

Looks like the tacks/pins have missed the body of the heel, gone in the indents.
But still, bit shit. -

We work on Euston Road near the shoe repair place that stocks Loake between Warren St and Great Portland Street so they fixed them but FFS

Has your colleague posted that pic on Loake's social media?

Those tacks look way too short

Got my eye on something in the Trickers Factory shop, the price is already discounted, just wondered if they do a seasonal sale that would discount further?

Dropped my Red Wing's in for a resole this morning at a Red Wing approved cobbler. £145 and 4 week wait for them to be done, to be fair he did say he had 20+ pairs to be resoled!

This looks amazing value when compared to my recent experiences - please do report back if you go with them.

with the weather we woke up to today decided to clean up and re proof my redwing moc toe 875's . nice good coating of mink oil into all the cracks round the all the stitching etc, should be good for a couple of months of winter pubbing.
redwings now 12 / 13 years old having undergone one resole a year back
and broke out the walking boots for the first time this autumn ..... Meindl Borneo Men 2 MFS Walking Boot for a walk into town in the sleet earlier. comfy snug warm and of course totally waterproof .... well you would hope so as i didn't even touch a bit of grass or mud. these will be for all non pub expeditions and winter slogging.
bring on the winter
might give the meindls a re proofing in the coming days just because

I have a pair too - same model, I think.
Bought off here some years back. Excellent boots.

No, but the folk at CarreDucker speak very highly of the quality and have worked with him before

Ta. I got in touch to ask about last widths, which he was really helpful about. He’s sending out a pair to try on, then can return and place order for a pair of crossover boots hopefully!

Hoping for some advice. I find my zambelan walking boots the most supportive and comfortable shoes I own. I just feel strong wearing them. Looking for slightly more casual shoes/boots I can wear day to day. Had reasonable success with Timberland in the past but anything else I should be looking at?

Clearly not proper pesto shoes, but they were in the window of Bowhill and Elliott so…

Hmm four hundred pounds slippers like what grandma used to have

These arrived yesterday from Jadd. First pair of proper shoes I’ve bought new, as always second hand before, and most I’ve spent on a pair by a long way which was a bit scary.
That said, they fit great and once broken in should be excellent. Really solidly built and have nice close fitting heel and roomy forefoot.

Like the cut their jib.
My fracaps are possibly going to need a resole, though I hope i can get them through the winter.
Just came across this lot online, looks like a decent option and only £50.

Also see that you can send them back to Fracap as well, through not sure about the process.
