Ordered this refurbished Citizen Fujitsubo NB6021 from Citizen's eBay store for a very reasonable $280. It got lost in the mail so they refunded me.... but it just turned up :) Great for $280. Even better for free.

I already have one!
They were also issued to omega stockists for the window display.
They asked for them back.
We “lost” one of ours … -

Nice, would it be worth speaking to omega stockists to see if they know any collectors who would be interested or just bang it on ebay?
-
• #79710
Most of that kind of stuff ends up on eBay. There’s Omega Forums but you need a lot of post history to post sale ads there and I doubt you’d get a better price than on eBay.

Of those two, probably the Citizen, but personally there are other Seiko 5s I’d prefer.

i am also close to the seiko... i have a casio duro and i know the citizen is much much better but the casio is working for me on all levels ... so seiko would be different styling and still a good watch, and also an automatic (i have another automatic and its ok to have to reset the time every once in a while)

seikos 5 on the 250 ball park? and not too close to a casio duro... its a killer watch the duro, thats why this seiko with its styling is on the short list

The 5 Sports line that is, which that black PVD / camo dial version is part of.
I personally like the 38mm ones, the GMTs, some of the retro / rally diver ones like the SRPK09, but honestly it’s just whatever you like the look of the most. There are dozens and dozens, I’m just not that into the black/camo variant.
Of the non-SKX style 5 Sports I like the SNXS style line and the SRPK17 and SRPL03/05 remakes.

Update... The Seiko Prospex Monster was ordered by my son's mother. Thanks for the suggestions! Hasn't arrived yet, so I can't see the amazing looking dial.
Anyone here know a good online store to order Seikos from in Japan? Always wanted a J model with either Japanese day/date, and one with Eastern Arabic numerals - fortunately I can read both script ( not that learning days and especially eastern numerals is hard). A good friend of mine is back there now on her annual visit so I might put a cheeky request in.
Funny enough, I do have a J model (Kinetic) that's currently not functioning that I bought from Saudi years back, but it doesn't have a day/date window.

A lot of new UK market Seikos have kanji+English date wheels now, just like a JDM model, they've realised that people like them. Just check with Seiko before you buy.
Re: the English/Arabic wheel, you're right, generally you're looking for the "Made In Japan" dial Jx models, but there's nothing in the reference number alone that tells you if it's an Arabic market watch or a JDM one that will have kanji. But if you're talking about the date wheel numerals as opposed to the day of the week, I don't know if I've seen that from Seiko?

I've seen J models in some of the online stores that ship to UK quite cheaply and quickly (what's that one in Singapore), but steered clear. Thought I'd ask my friend while she's there.
Indeed, I've found nothing to distinguish an Arabic model from other Js in the model, so you just need to know what you're buying. And by Eastern Arabic numerals, I actually meant on the dial, not the day/date wheel. Totally forgot that you can get the days in Arabic too, a bit odd they still use Western (Arabic) numbers on those wheels, but that might be due to legibility/clarity on such tiny text.
Edit: For the Eastern Arabic number models, I'll make sure I pick one up on my next trip to the Gulf, whenever that might be.

Ah, got you.
Not having Eastern Arabic numerals on the date wheel might just be cost-saving knowing Seiko!
-
• #79720
True. You can get modded/3rd party wheels in full Arabic, but modding's not my thing - just yet. Might replace some hardlex crystals at one point with sapphire.

That black PVD Seiko you're looking at possibly has a dual English/Japanese day wheel if you buy a UK market one.
