  • What is the diagnosis if you can read a word, can say it and spell it but can’t physically write it
    correctly?
Currently I struggle with faidh (it’s an Irish thing) I can spell it, pronounce it but if I try to write it down I just completely fuck it up, the d and h end up transposed or merged or just become some squiggle, the a or I end up missing. It’s every time unless I stop and try and slowly do one letter at a time.
Any internet diagnosis welcome, I’m not going to research it any further probably.

  • The general term for issues with movement is dyspraxia.

Have you always had this problem? Is it with specific words or letters or shapes?

  • Yes always - when I was a small child there was talk of reading issues and I went to speech therapists but I’ve no real idea why - I think to get rid of a very thick Irish accent.
    Letters probably d, h, b a
My handwriting is so bad I try to avoid writing tbh .
